After graduating from the University of Tokyo, he joined JP Morgan, but quited after one year to pursue entrepreneurship. After founding and selling his company, Kaji joined SoftBank Group to learn business manage directly from Masayoshi Son. Formerly a competitive cyclist, he had a desire for starting a sports related company. In 2012, Kaji and his best friend in college, Tizo Son, decided to start their sports tech business to pursue their passions to bring innovation to the sports industry.
While studying at the University of Tokyo, Taizo launched a website creation and management company called Indigo. In 1998, he co-founded Onsale, which later became GungHo Online Entertainment, a video game developer with well-known titles such as Puzzle & Dragons. In 2009, Taizo established MOVIDA JAPAN to support many start-up companies.
